Living Han-Ok in Daegu This project has the main focus on the vitalization of the Han-Ok, which are still existing in the center of the cities, for example in the traditional center of Daegu. The idea is, to develope the existing Han-Ok in the city-center to a convenient living-house for the next generation, by improving the climatic performance in a tectonic, and technological way. That means, preserving the character of the house, but adding new elements, which support the small building in a sensitive way. It´a more creative way and usable way of conversation, than the historical Han-Ok villages are able to offer. With the developing of the neglected Han-Ok the city center will become a more interesting place for living and housing again. 이 프로젝트는 대구의 전통센터와 같이 현재 도심에 남아있는 한옥의 활성화에 그 목적을 두었다. 이 계획은 지질 구조적이고 기술적인 방법으로 주위환경을 개선시킴으로써 도시 중심에 잔존하는 한옥 주택을 다음 세대를 위한 편리한 주택으로 발전시키는데 목적이 있다. 그 의미는 한옥의 특징을 보존하되 새로운 기능을 추가하여 감각적인 방법으로 한옥을 활성화시킨다. 이것은 기존의 한옥에 보다 더 창의적이고 실용적인 소통의 방안이다. 도심 속 소외된 한옥의 활성화를 통해 다시 머물기 위한 더욱 흥미로운 장소가 될 것이다.

Adding two Elements New On-Dol in court-yard & Mobile glass-house system for winter/autem/spring, to make the courtyard a living room in winter. 여름 마당에 설치되는 온돌은 또 다른 기능을 제공. 정원과 화장실에 사용하는 물의 제공을 위한 우수조의 역할을 한다 & 복사에 의한 주택과 바닥의 냉방을 위한 축열제 역할을 한다.

Summer The new On-Dol in the courtyard will offer different functions; being a storage-tank for rainwater, which can be used for the flowers, toilet etc. being a thermal-mass for cooling house by radiation, or sitting on a “cool” floor. 두가지 기능 제안 -마당에 온돌을 설치한다. -봄/가을/겨울에도 마당을 거실처럼 사용할 수 있도록 가변형 유리 시스템 도입한다.

Winter With the mobile glas-house system, you can close the courtyard in winter Sfor extending the living-room. The passive solar-win will heat the house and heat uo the thermal mass in the new On-Dol. 겨울가변형 유리 시스템을 통해 겨울에 마당을 덮어 더 넓은 거실로 사용할 수 있다. 자연형 태양열 시스템은 집을 따듯하게 하고 온돌의 축열제를 따듯하게 한다.

도심 대구 한옥 2.0 [중구, 북내동]

collect & protect the tranparent roof (corrugated post-consumer polycarbonate) allows for the hanoks supply of natural light and solar energy, easily controlled by industrial reflective green-house blinds and adaptable cross-ventilation. 투명한 한옥 지붕은 산업용 온실 블라인드를 이용하여 자연 채광과 태양 에너지를 공급하고 통풍을 쉽게 통제할 수 있다.

urban farming fresh vegetables & herbs throughout the year from your own roof and out of your court. 일년내내 신선한 야채와 허브를 자신의 지붕에º 재배할 수 있다.

heat sink the excessive summer-heat collected in the ceiling, used as cooling component is stored in a thermally decoupled heat-sink in the former ondol-housing plynth with optional thermal exchange with ground-water. 과거의 온돌의 원리를 기둥에 적용시켜서 여름에 천장에 모인 과열된 열기를 / 저장해 두었던 지하수의 냉기와 맞바꾸는 역할을 한다.

reedbed sewage treatment grey-water is cleaned in the adjacent linear pond for re-use in the garden. 생활폐수는 정원의 연못에º 정수식물을 이용하여 다시 사용할수 있도록 정가 된다.

fastondol the responsive storage-coupled thin-bed screed avoids delays at heating demands. the thermal storage provides the hanok with time-shifted nocturnal solar heating. the oversized energy-reservoir allows for a small-scale additionally energy-input from continuous, efficient combustion. 열저장고와 빠르게 연결되어진 바닥은열 수요의 지연을 방지한다. 열 저장고는 밤중에 한옥에 태양열을 제공한다. 대 규 모의 에너지저장고는 계속해서 효과적인 가열을 돕는 작은 크기의 부가되어진 에너지의 출입을 허락한다.

rainwater storage seasonal rain excesses is stored in a earth-tank to reduce water-consumption and flooding. 계절별 빗물은 홍수를 줄이기 위해 지하탱크에 저장이 된다.

green filter the desiduous »flying« screen filters climate-responsive the hanoks solar exposure whilst cleaning the air from pollutants. irrigated by post-reedbed-water. 기후에 반응하는 한옥은태양 노출은 날리는 지, 오염물질, 낙엽등을 정수식물을 이용하여 걸러낸다.

convertible court closed in winter, the transformable courtyard minimizes a/v, whilst collecting passively solar thermal energy.
during summer it allows for cross-ventilation in a fully opened position. 변형가능한 안뜰은 겨울에 공기대류를 줄이는 반면, 태양열에너지를 꾸준히 저장할 수 있다.

transulation sliding multiple-wall-sheets from post-consumer polycarbonate as additional shojis increase winterly solar-intake whilst adding living space in the newly created buffer-zone. 과거 창호지와 같은 미닫이 문은 겨울의 집ø양을 증가시켜주고 집안의 새로운 완충공간을 제공한다.

compost toilet modular serving-spaces (kitchen, storage, ..) are plugged-out. the nutritious-rich ordure is transformed to compost on site instead of becoming a pollutant to gaining streams. 모듈단위로 돌출된 공간은 (부엌, 수납공간등등) 영양이 풍부한 오물을 하천으로 바로 보내지 않고 퇴비처리 한다.
